Definitely not for a 13 year old. We bought it for our 5 year old. He LOVES it!! It is a great entry into dirt bikes. It's taught him about throttle control, slowing down for a turn, etc. It's also helped him become a better rider on his pedal bike. It does go very fast, so please make sure you have proper riding gear for your kid before they get on it. We put our kid in riding pants, jersey, full face helmet and gloves. He's taken a couple of light spills on it with no issues because of his riding gear. Also, it goes really fast on asphalt. If you're just starting out I'd suggest trying it on a grass field first. The grass slows it down a lot and the falls are a bit softer. I also love that since the weight limit is 130, I get ride it too :D

My son was tickled pink when we got this for him! He is a smaller little guy at 7 years old & this fits him perfectly. We had a issue with the original charger but thankfully razor sent a replacement. It goes fast to buy a helmet! The run time isn't the greatest but he gets a few hours before it dies.

My 6 year loved it when he first got it and still drives it around all the time. He will be 7 soon and he tells me he is ready for a "real" one. I guess the neighborhood jerk kids told him it wasn't a real dirtbike. He has abused this thing, drove it through mud and puddles, left it out in the rain and jumped ramps with it. It is still going strong since christmas. I think it is well built and was worth every penny. he drives it around our 1 acre yard and I let him drive it up and down our dead end street. All the kids want to ride it every where we take it.

MY 7 YEAR OLD GRANDSON LOVES THIS MOTOCROSS -- CAN'T KEEP HIM OFF OF IT. IT WAS QUITE EASY TO REMOVE FROM BOX AND SET UP. IF YOUR KIDDO CAN RIDE A BICYCLE WITHOUT TRAINING WHEELS THEY CAN RIDE THIS....LEARNING THE BREAKS AND HOW TO GO FAST OR SLOWER WAS QUITE EASY FOR MY GRANDSON TO MASTER. AFTER A FEW LEARNING RIDES HE QUICKLY GRASPED THE HANG OF IT AND NOW IS A PRO AT RIDING. IT DOES GO PRETTY FAST SO MAKE SURE TO HAVE SAFETY HELMET AND CLOTHES.....FAIR PRICE AND WOULD DEFINITELY BUY AGAIN!!! WILL SEE HOW IT HOLDS UP IN THE FUTURE....BUT SO FAR SO GOOD

We bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it! He's only 5 but he fits it perfectly. My 8 year looks too big for this dirt bike and the "recommended age" is 13! I would not recommend buying it for a 13 year old. This little thing is pretty fast and holds a charge for quite some time. If your kiddo can ride a bike without training wheels pretty well, then they'll probably be just fine on this.

Great little motorcycle. Well made and powerful enough for lots of fun. In spite of long rides, my 7 year old son has yet to run down the battery. There are no shocks so over rough terrain it might get bumpy. But the knobby tired do a good job of soaking up most bumps. Not a barn stormer going up steep hills but on moderate grades, no significant loss of speed. I would say that this bike might be too small for kids 9 years or older.

I was scared to get this based on other reviews about the suspension (I always make sure I read bad reviews to see what most of the problems are.) However, I'm glad I got this little bike. It's so fun and my husband and I are about to ride it, though it is really small it packs some power. I'm able to ride with my 5 year old around our neighborhood and our yard (I weigh 98 lbs and he weighs about 35). I'm not worried about the suspension and it's not that bad unless you're expecting this to be a true sports bike. So glad we got this!

Install Flash Player Bought for my sons 5th birthday and it is perfect for him! He already knew how to ride a bike very well so this was an easy transition for him. He's average size and fits this bike really well with a little bit of room to grow. He LOVES this dirtbike and is already insists he's going to learn to do a wheelie. The video is on his 2nd day of riding it. His cousin who is 7 also rode it and was a bit tall but it still worked well for him.

Was great until it stopped working. It turns on but the wheels won’t turn. No idea what is wrong with it. I’m checking to see if there is a warranty. Got it for Christmas and he hasn’t used it that much since it was so cold. Update, turns out the chain came off. My husband was able to fix it promptly. Still works like a champ.

This was a great Christmas present to my son. He loves it! It came on time and as described. He has since out grown it but it ran him around for two years and two tire swaps. I recommend it!
