Update: I've ordered these so many times because I love jelly beans. The weird thing is that one bag won't have that many black (yuk) ones in it and the second bag makes up for that by having way too many. In any case I will keep buying them because they are the best brand at the best price. I love jelly beans, but not just any jelly beans. I've tried all the newer ones that are patterned after a popular candy or even the expensive ones that come in a thousand flavors. Some of the aforementioned flavors are just not natural to me. I only like brachs jelly beans with the classic flavors. These are an exceptional value as well. They came quickly and were very fresh. I especially like that they are in a "stay fresh " bag that has a press and seal type closure. That's important to me because I didn't buy them for the upcoming Easter holiday or even for a party although that's what prompted me to see if I could find them on Amazon. Since they're just for "whenever" they will last me for quite some time. If you're a jelly bean lover like me or if you want a bowl full of bright colors for your coffee table I would recommend these. There's plenty to go around in the Easter eggs and you'll have enough left to "hide" some for yourself lol.

These are probably the jelly beans you grew up with: Big and robust, with a nicely but not overly crunchy outer shell and glaze, and a softer somewhat grainy center. No, they don't come in 6,214 designer flavors, and they're not anemic little things the size of coffee beans. They're big, brightly colored, yummy pellets of GIMME MORE. And at twelve bucks for nearly seven pounds,* the fact that you no longer have to wait for stores to stock them in the Easier aisles is only part of the good news. == * That's 54 ounces per bag, but you get two bags in this order, for a total of 108 ounces.

I like that these are resealable (zipper lock embedded in the bag) because 54 oz of jelly beans are enough to last even a seriously sweet toothed snacker quite a while! They arrived and remained nice and fresh and soft, not stale at all. My wife, who has celiac disease and is fairly sensitive to the presence of gluten, was able to eat these with no problems, although the package does not say gluten free specifically (warning of wheat in a shared facility). The ingredients listed were Sugar, Corn Syrup, Modified Food Starch (Corn), Cornstarch, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Confectioner's Glaze, Carnauba Wax, Beeswax, Red 40, Blue 1, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 3.

Just as delicious as I remember they are the classic jelly bean taste from childhood. They were fresh, they came in a zippered reclosable bag for freshness as well. I have them in a candy bowl, and my family will take a handful, and they love them.

I bought these last month (Oct) as a treat for my jellybean-loving husband, and I scored a few points with this gift! He buys Brach's jellybeans every spring as soon as they hit the shelves. Brach's has been his favorite for many, many years. Before the "belly" beans ever hit the market, Brach's had a firm hold on his sweet tooth (or teeth). Maybe the inability to get them year-round is what has kept them at the top of his list? Anyway, I saw these here and thought they would make a nice surprise for his birthday. The candy didn't seem stale or like they hadn't been properly handled/stored, therefore, the gift was a hit.

I can never find FRESH jelly beans and then they are in small bags. These have always come fresh and big bag

You can't beat the original jelly beans. I got 2 - 54 oz. bags and the packaging was safe. Shipping was for 2 days, and they came in 2 days. This was a great price too.

A magnificent jelly bean is like finding the grail. I can tell you in the usa we are being robbed. Haribo jelly beans are the grail. After that, it becomes about finding the next best thing. Gertrude hawk, starburst, both make a really good jelly bean. But i found these and find them quite acceptable. They may not be the best but I dont think they are intended to be. I think these are a decent and easily accessible option for jelly bean lovers who just want a good, authentic jelly bean experience. Good value for money. Good flavour. Good jelly bean.

Nowadays, famous brand names are bought and sold, the ultimate company producing them perhaps unknown to the consumer. I say, who cares, as long as the product is as it was years ago. Such is the case with these wonderful Brach's jelly beans, which are just as I remember them from 50+ years ago. If you're getting up in years and miss real flavor...if everything today is bland...well give these a try and you're transported back to the Saturday matinee, 3rd row center. A monster on the screen and you're eating jelly beans from the theatre, or ones from your pocket if they didn't sell them. Enjoy...

I am so happy I found this subscription for Brach's Jelly Beans. I am a Jelly Bean fanatic. (As a matter of fact my son's girlfriend calls me "LJB" short for "Little Jelly Bean!") And I absolutely swear by Brach's! Believe me, I have had many different brands of jelly beans through the years and have come to the conclusion that Brach's is the BEST! As a matter of fact when Brach's discontinued making one of their types of jelly beans...."Peacock Eggs" made with real pectin only at Easter time...I searched everywhere online to no avail. And I even called Brach's headquarters at the time only to find out they stopped making them. Over the last 10 years or so I have tried to stockpile Brach's jelly beans, which are only in retail stores at Easter time, and when I eventually run out I order as much as possible from online candy distributors. But they run out also and charge a lot for shipping! So finding this Brach's subscription for monthly delivery from Amazon is a "lifesaver" for me! If you love, or even just like, jelly beans I highly recommend this subscription. Also, if it works better for your needs, you can place individual orders whenever you want, on Amazon as well.
